
STORY
Growing up in Connecticut, the owners of Retreat Sweets noticed that despite being sandwiched between New York and Boston, there were many things that were not accessible growing up.
Connecticut seemed void of common favorites like bubble tea and Asian snacks. Retreat Sweets exists to close the gap and provide access to flavors and innovations not only found right outside CT but from inspirations overseas.
From a test fryer that almost burned down our garage to months of recipe development, Retreat Sweets was born.


Mission
Retreat Sweets exists as a test kitchen that combines unique flavors using quality ingredients that one might normally only find at their local asian grocery store.
Whether it's a chili crisp mochi donut, or matcha tiramisu latte, everything is curated to bring novelty in forms that are fun to consume. Our aim is to inform and build a community upon new experiences.
Quality
While flavor is a major component in our development. Quality plays the largest role when it comes to identifying what's worthy to add to our menu.
The flour for our mochi donuts are imported from Taiwan, our tea is curated and selected by our team in China, and our partners in Japan do a great job with making sure we receive the highest quality Matcha.
